The first video of Ana was from when she was seven years old. These videos, of a little girl doing things no one her age should be doing, have been shared all over the internet. The offender, whom authorities suspect is a family member, keeps going. In every five videos, Ana is raped in two of them. Sometimes, there is another little girl or a boy in these videos, possibly her brothers and sisters. Other times, there is a man watching in the background; we think it's her dad. These videos of Ana continued to surface until she was eleven years old. Now, Ana is in her late teens; we hope she is in a better place.
Sophia grew up in a household where her mother was both verbally and physically abusive. She was often sexually assaulted by the men her mom brought home. Fearful of the consequences, Sophia was forced to remain silent about the situation. Since Sophia was constantly moving, she was never able to form long-term relationships. This environment resulted in profound feelings of loneliness, depression, and anxiety. Similar to many other survivors of abuse, she felt that she was to blame for the years of abuse she suffered. By the time she was just nine years old, she had developed a deep hatred for herself.
Millie was a 4-year-old girl who loved music and was sexually assaulted by her own family member. He would lure her with music and then rape her. Now, she can't even listen to her once-favorite song "I Love the Flower Girl" because it pains her to think of the terrible memories attached to it. Like many survivors, she felt that she wasn't enough and grew depressed and lonely. After years of greuling abuse, she learned that what she went through wasn't normal. Now, we hope she is in a better place, though we can never know for sure.
Do you really want kids to live this way? Their childhood was taken away from them by the people they knew and replaced with depression and self-hatred.
