90% of child sex crimes end in plea deals
A plea deal is an agreement in a criminal case where the defendant pleads guilty or "no contest" to a charge in exchange for concessions from the prosecutor. These concessions often include reduced charges, a lighter sentence recommendation, or dropping additional charges. These deals also allow people to avoid registering as a sex offender, which lets them run free and hurt more children.
*Every 9 minutes, a child is sexually abused somewhere within the United States.
*25% of girls and 5% of boys under the age of 18 have experienced sexual abuse or assault.
*Sexual abuse offenses have increased by 62.5% since 2020.

The first explicit video of Ana was from when she was seven years old. These videos have been shared all over the internet. The offender, whom authorities suspect is a family member, keeps going. In every five videos, Ana is raped in two of them. These videos continued to surface until she was eleven years old. This behavior is disgusting and cruel, and is one of the many reasons why we founded PleaseNoPleas.

We are a not-for-profit organization based in San Francisco, California, and we are run by a group of eight graders from the Chinese American International School.
At Please No Pleas, we have many ways for normal people like you and me to make a difference. By going to our take action page, you can donate to sexual assault support foundations, sign a petition to help stop plea deals for child predators, and even email your governor to help pass a bill that stops judges from protecting child predators.
You may think plea deals don't affect that many people, but on average, 90% of crimes end with them. This is specifically an issue for people accused of child rape or sexual assault, because by pleading guilty, they can avoid becoming a registered sex offender, allowing them to walk freely and hurt more and more people. In fact, since COVID, sexual abuse cases have gone up by 62.5%, showing an upward trend we should be concerned about. Even so, it's not all bad. By taking action through signing a petition linked on our website or contacting your governor to help pass a bill trying to correct this, our world could take a turn for the better. It's time for you to take action.
